The long overdued post. Thanks to all those who wished me, sang birthday song and celebrated my birthday for me etc :) I'll just upload one picture will do.

I’m so in the mood to blog now. Well, today is the 1st day of my attachment. End of holidays and start of SIP (Student Internship Programme). Feeling excited and nervous all over, and not wanting to be late, I woke up at 6:40am! As agreed, I met the other 2 interns, Leong Eng & Benjamin at the MRT station at 8:15am. The 3 of us were early and we reached the office at 8:18am, way before the person whom we are supposed to report to. We settled down on the sofa, with much anticipation.

After settling the admin stuff with the assistant HR manager, a mini orientation was conducted. I quickly scanned the entire office. The small, cramped office was packed to the capacity. And that’s going to be the place where we will all be stuck for the next 3 months. We came with a positive mindset, with the mentality to learn as many things as possible.

Being attached to the finance dept, my duty for today was to do data entry for the movie vouchers, filing them into the correct places and update them into the cash book. I was also asked to bank in cheques and do updating together with Benjamin. Initially, I was quite blur with information overload. Luckily, much guidance was given. An overview of what's going to happen for the next 12 weeks was given to us.

Cheques, cashbook, invoices, payments, A/P, A/R, claims form. My 'best friend' for the next 3 months.

With that, it concludes the end of my 1st day of internship.
1 day down. When all has to go well, the release of results via sms in the afternoon has to dampen my mood.

Last but not least, the lanyard that I have to wear throughout.
